Michael L. Jones is an award-winning freelance journalist who has written for Kentucky Monthly, the Louisville Courier-Journal, LEO Weekly, Louisville Magazine, and The Highlander Neighborhood Monthly. He also serves as The Highlander's calendar editor. In June 2012, the Louisville chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists presented Jones with two Louisville Metro Journalism Awards for best business article and best feature story in the Mon-Metro Newspaper category. Jones is the author of "Second-Hand Stories: 15 Portraits of Louisville," a compilation of his cultural articles.
