What to do when Fido or Fluffy needs a little TLC, but you just don’t have the time to take them anywhere for pampering? Ring up Aussie Pet Mobile, and the pet salon comes to you.

Owner Jeff George has operated the franchised mobile pet grooming service since last July.  He prides himself on convenience, saying he provides “less hassle for you, less stress on the pet.”

Full grooming includes bathing, nails and a haircut. Other services abound too, like eye and ear cleaning, oatmeal shampoos, breed-specific clips, tooth brushing, Frontline flea and tick treatment, preparation for showing, and even nail painting.  All cat and dog breeds are welcome, whether short or long-haired, “from three-pound terriers to hundred-pound Labs,” says George. Other animals can be groomed as well.

The mobile grooming facility is a specially rigged van with a grooming table and support harnesses for special needs animals.  Highlanders are known throughout the city for their pet-loving ways, and Highlands pets enjoy posh Aussie Pet Mobile options like the heated hydrobath, aloe treatments for animals with dry skin and special shampoos for sensitive pets.

George stays involved in the community by periodically donating time to The Humane Society, where he attends animal rescue events to do nails and grooming. He also maintains relationships with various local veterinarians and does the grooming for the Barkstown boarding kennel in the Highlands.

Aussie Pet Mobile is open seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, visit www.aussiepetmobile.com. Aussie Pet Mobile, (502) 552-2934.
